GAWTEC 1   July 22 - August 3, 2001
 
In July 2001 GAWTEC was opened with representatives from WMO, the State of Bavaria, the German Meteorological Service (DWD), the Federal Environmenl Agency (UBA), the Institute for Atmospheric Research (IFU), and the first group of trainees from eight countries.
